I help Technicians restrain animals, administer some medications, take x-rays, care for the animals, run blood work, ect. I have learned to insert a urinary catheter and perform CPR on dogs and cats. I work in a large team environment, but work alone while taking the animals out, running tests, and taking the animals TPR (temperature, heart rate, and rest rate). I performed daily duties on a variety of animals. I would clean each enclosure of waste, lay down new bedding, provide food and water, observe the animals, provide, and help capture the animals if they needed to go in for the night. I worked primarily with hoovestock animals, but also worked with a variety of other animals. I have worked with llamas, alpacas, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, camels, rabbits, pigs, deer, turkeys, fennec foxes, various reptiles, various amphibians, parrots, cavies, cranes, wallabys, and kangaroos. I also have experience handling some animals for the public to view and interact with.
