  Throughout my time at brunel university I was in a voluntary position as the vice chair and treasurer for the debating society. This involved scheduling debates and chairing them on a biweekly basis as well as running multiple recruitment and advertisement campaigns for scheduled debates. In addition, it involved scheduling guest speakers from within and without the univesity for public engagement on such issues as Brexit, Education reform and the Israel-Palestine debates. Finally, an online form was designed to allow university members to suggest and vote for debate topics, a form which remains in use today. Show less
