I was hired to provide expert prospect research experience in discovering top prospects. Primarily, I was asked to explore and analyze the patient database which had recently been made available to the development office. In a very brief time, I identified new prospects with a group rating of a high of c. $200 million, many of whom had several generations of family members who were Henry Ford patients. I supported the work of all departments of the College, and connected prospective donors to its programs and initiatives. I also conducted a fair amount of historical and institutional research. In this position I oversaw all prospect research for two major capital campaigns: the first ending in 2008 which had a goal of $300 million and raised over $400 million; the second, ending in 2018 (one year after my retirement), which had a goal of $400 million, and raised over $550 million.
