For all of the above we have undergoing projects conducted by small but interdisciplinary teams. VIVA EAST (www.vivaeastpart.eu) Analysis on best practices in the field of long term cultural and environmental heritage revitalisation in Europe, focusing on the Eastern Europe specificities. VIVA EAST elaborated a methodology on cultural and environmental heritage valorisation (territorial cultural systems), engaging local stakeholders involved in spatial, cultural and tourism activities in the three pilot areas: Romania — Hartibaciu Valley micro-region, Armenia — Tavush region and Republic of Moldova — Cahul County. Design of Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Plans (PUI) for Growth Poles, project funded by Romanian Ministry for Regional Development http://www.mdrap.ro/, that consisted of capacity building and training sessions (on integrated approaches, partnership building, and defining sets of sustainable projects) as well as technical assistance to municipalities for them to draft PUI Plans for the Romanian Growth Poles. These plans were funded in the context of the ROP (Axis 1) ERDF Romania 2007-2013. “Integrated Urban Projects (PUI) Methodological Guide” funded by the Romanian Ministry for Regional Development (http://www.mdrap.ro). The Methodological Guide develops a methodology for preparing and implementing integrated urban projects (PUI), by local public administrations, and intent to solve the need to adapt rapidly to the principles and practices of the EU, ERDF Romania 2007-2013. “Urban Observatories in Romania”, research funded by the Romanian Ministry for Regional Development (http://www.mdrap.ro) analyses the concept of Urban Observatory at European and international level and proposes models to be implemented in Romanian cities of urban observatories as well as the relations with other bodies and institutions, ERDF Romania 2007-2013.
