I had the pleasure of working with Josef for 2 years in Philips. Josef has a super-strong foundation based on his expertise and experience in the broad legal field and applied that to our business activities. Beyond the strong content he brought in any discussion and activity, his approach and behavior has been consistently outstanding. Josef - without any compromises on integrity and compliance - has been always solution (and not problem)-oriented. A "NO" was always followed with "but if you approach it in this way ..." so that business teams know what to do. Josef has been a great Ambassador of Philips to our network of Partners in CEE: straightforward, courageous and at the same time fair and deeply listening to the view of others. In times of critical situations, it was very often Josef who put things into perspective, remained calm, constructive and optimistic. Josef always created an atmosphere in which everyone (within Philips and outside) could be at his/her best. Personally I have benefitted from the teamwork with Josef and have learned a lot from him and his role modelling behavior still guides me today, even after our co-operation has come to an end.

Working with Josef within Philips Team of Central and Eastern Europe was a great privilege for me. Josef has very profound knowledge in field of Corporate Governance, Compliance, Data Privacy, Litigation, Risk, Crisis and Team Management. He was great coach and legal advisor in multiple occasions we had to deal within diversified market of 19 countries. For me it was also great learning point and experience exchange with Josef in domain of Compliance, such as Anti-Bribery (e.g. FCPA), Antitrust, Fraud, Data Privacy and as well as with reorganizations we have been going through. Josef is a great team player, very aware of local specificities and political/economical/legal issues in countries and he was able to convert all those dimensions into the positive legal frame that will support business growth.
