Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and integrating calibration changes from the team and other areas of the company, such as transmission, climate, and power supply. For each stage of the project, coordinated and distributed the activities to the team and performed calibration releases, always seeking to identify possible error states, proposing tradeoffs and solutions as required. Internal combustion engine control (direct injection and portico, gasoline and flex fuel): feature calibration, including engine start and warm up, torque and spark control, air charge, high pressure fuel pump control, fuel learning, transient fuel, emissions control, idle control, accessories control(air conditioning, alternator, and fan), brake booster vacuum recovery, exhaust temperature control, temperature inferring models (exhaust and oil), and component protection. Engine dynamometer: calibration testing and debug, engine mapping (variable camshaft timing, combustion stability, spark advance, spark efficiency, air charge, torque model, injection timing, and EGR) and parameter optimization (fuel consumption, emission, power and torque curves). Software in loop: develop and perform tests in simulation environment to debug software and calibration issues before deploying to the vehicle. ECU software development, testing and debug. Investigation and resolution of mechanical and electrical defects in prototype or production vehicles. Development of Excel / VB based tools for data acquisition and analysis. Knowledge of OBDBrII monitors calibration. Emissions and OBDBrII certification with Brazilian regulatory department (CETESB), supporting all AMA Cycle activities to raising the catalyst deterioration factors. Work together with different teams and areas of the company.
