  Served on the faculty at Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion - IESA (1998-2002), Universidad Catolica Andres Bello UCAB (1994-2000) and Universidad Central de Venezuela (1991-92, 1996-99). Has published one book (VAT in Venezuela, Editorial Planeta, 1993) and articles on taxation, the interpretation of contracts, financial leasing, and commercial usages as sources of law (lex mercatoria). Member of the Venezuelan team that negotiated the U.S.-Venezuela tax treaty signed in 1998. Member of the commisions appointed by the Ministry of Finance of Venezuela to draft financial and tax laws (1992-94). Listed in the panel of arbitrators of the Caracas Chamber (the National Committee of the ICC) and the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEDCA). Has served international law firms in connection with lawsuits and international arbitration procedures in the US and the UK, and has rendered expert testimony in international arbitration proceedings relating to contracts with the oil and construction industries and claims made by minority shareholders.
