Jose Padilla is someone that has both technical skill in manufacturing and the soft skills to communicate his ideas and build relationships. I have worked directly with Jose several times, enjoying each collaboration as we work to figure out the solution to what is in front of us. Most recently, we led an effort to update one of the calibration systems for production fixtures. this involved coordinating between production, quality, and engineering to organize and track various types of fixtures in one easy to use reporting system. Jose not only headed up much of the communication between teams, but in addition to accomplishing the system update, was able to recognize that of the 200+ fixtures needed to be accounted for, a significant portion were obsolete and needed to be removed from the line. Jose came up with criteria for valid fixtures and worked with the team to identify obsolete fixtures to be quarantined from the line.
