I worked as a field engineer for CNHi, my job description was testing prototype combine harvesters. During the harvest months this was mostly abroad in Europe, in winter time I worked in Zedelgem, I also had the opportunity to travel to Brasil during winter time. When I was abroad (periods of 4-6 weeks) I often worked in teams but this could also be alone for the entire period. A daily communication with engineering back in Belgium was maintained to keep them up to date. I liked the fact that my job was a mixture of mechanical and laptop work, during the daytime I worked on the combines and during the evening I reported everything I noticed to engineering. All problems that happened to the combine I had to fix myself which was at times very challenging, a toolvan was available that provides all the tools I needed to fix everything.
