      Laureate is a company that works in the education industry, owns many universities around the world and offers a great number of online courses for their students. As a system administrator, I was able to manage and oversee the local operation’s data center, working along the IT team at the Baltimore Headquarters. Also worked as a project leader, providing networking solutions as well as virtualization solutions using VMware. Projects leaded:• Active Directory and Domain Service Implementation: One of my first tasks in LIU was to fix their ADDS. LIU was growing fast, we needed to provide an easy way to give access to their documents and infrastructure to our developers and staff. ADDS and Windows File Services was the answer. • Development Infrastructure: LIU has an in-house development team, the team needs deployment servers and testing servers, it was my job to have enough infrastructure to fulfill their deployment needs.• Datacenter Design and Implementation: LIU’s datacenter was growing without a master plan. In this project I took care to organize both the network and server infrastructure design and growth plan for future purchases and integrations.• Backup and Disaster Recovery Plan: The design of a contingency plan is crucial for any company. My participation in this plan was the replication of the servers in Amazon AWS. Using Acronis, I designed the restore job from AWS to our local farm.
