  University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center and the DCC are both near and dear to me and my family. As a 3-Time Cancer survivor of Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma and Stem Cell transplant recipientin 2016. I have been truly blessed to have the opportunity to be treated right here in Miami at UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. That's 5 Years/60 months/1,825 days/43,800 hours of blood tests, CTs, pet scans, biopsys (spine, chest, & marrow), blood transfusions, radiation, chemo, stem cell transplant and through it all, the UM Sylvester family was there for me and my family. From my times in remission to my various relapses, I never lost my faith in God, in my family, and in my UM Sylvester family. Because of my experience, I want to help make a difference in the lives of other survivors and their caregivers. The DCC helps to support the efforts of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in advancing research to ultimately find a cure to this disease that affects everyone one of us, either indirectly or directly.
