Ensure regulatory compliance through review, update and adherence to various documents and manuals, including but not limited to Airport Certification Manual (ACM), Airport Emergency Plan (AEP), Airport Security Plan (ASP), Security Directives (SD), Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP), and Snow and Ice Control Plan (SICP). Implement airfield safety procedures to ensure a safe operating environment for personnel and aircraft operation. Manage and control the day-to-day operations of the airport’s airside, landside and terminal including curbside loading/unloading, parking lots and traffic control. Provide an initial point of contact with the traveling public, the community, vendors and airport tenants. Conduct inspections of airport infrastructure including airfield, terminal and roadways to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations, and standard operating procedures. Assist in responding to aircraft and medical emergencies. Relay departure, arrival, delay, aircraft and airfield status, and other pertinent information to upline controlling agencies. Deliver outstanding customer service to airport customers, tenants, aviation users and community, by responding appropriately to requests, complaints and inquiries about the airport and its services. Receive and prioritize work order requests for equipment and building facility maintenance. Stay current on pertinent airport and aviation industry developments such as new and revised regulations, advisories, alerts, security directives and industry trends, both locally and nationwide, that could have an effect on ACY and Airports in the Tri-state area.
