  To create and develop the first Spanish Theatre Company in London. The Spanish Theatre Company represents the coming together of a group of like-minded Spanish stage professionals based in London, who want to offer UK audiences all that is the best in Spanish theatre, both classic and contemporary. In a culture like the British and a city such as London where theatre is venerated almost as a religion it seems barely believable that up to now there has been no dedicated a Spanish theatre company. The Spanish repertoire has been represented chiefly by productions of Federico Garcia Lorca or Golden Age plays by Lope de Vega, Calderón de la Barca and Tirso de Molina, with little sign of Spain’s many talented contemporary playwrights who provide a rich field for further exploration. The Company's permanent base will serve as a meeting point for actors, directors, playwrights, as well as set designers, costume designers, musicians, lighting designers and technicians. It will be a creative environment, open to the community, in which younger artists can practice and extend their craft. The new, multipurpose space will serve as a gateway to the UK for students and Spanish professionals in the performing arts, both those who already live in London and those coming from Spain, who wish to develop their skills or career without losing touch with their culture - with the added benefit of access to all the powerful and vibrant British cultural and entertainment industry has to offer.   For three and a half years he coordinated the construction of this space of 10,000 m2, he devoloped the artistic programme, staffing, management and production of theatre, music and dance shows, etc. as well as an specific plan of operations for the Expo period. Under his direction El Palenque shown 1163 performances, through 176 days, and had to manage a team of 200 hundred people in addition to the official events of the 110 countries, companies and government agencies; and he had to be responsible for personally receiving kings, heads of states, prime ministers, ministers and other personalities and meeting with all the international teams of each country to produce and coordinate their performances.
