As a registered behavior technician my days include implementing behavior interventions planes, treatment goals, collaborate with supervisors & teammates, debrief parents/caregiver regarding client session and any changes, complete session notes in central reach, create materials for client’s session, and maintaining a clean & safe work/therapy environment. I strive every day to bring as much fun, care, love, and support to not only my clients but all clients within the clinic. I have worked with various ages, low & high functioning clients, verbal and nonverbal, and different programs for communicating like PECS and proloquo. I am honored to be a part of their journeys. Health Coach

I was a health coach for Sharecare, which consisted of coaching people through their health journey. We focused on the overall health of someone’s life like; mental, physical, financial, relational and more. We didn’t just focus on exercise and eating healthy, we wanted to help people live their lives to the fullest. It is a telephonic job, but we engaged, communicated, encouraged, supported, and coached. It was inspiring to help people achieve their goals, overcome the obstacles in their lives, support them through the ups and downs, and provide them with health information when needed and more. This job provided me great skills in active listening, motivational interviewing, and being able to adapt to any cliental. This job was showing skills I never knew I had and it was an amazing opportunity. Show less

Internship Trainee

During this internship there was various duties, such as helping therapist set up for future sessions and clean up from old sessions. We helped keep the facility organized and clean throughout the day due to a lot of foot traffic. I observed therapy sessions from all ages and even interacted with children that were working on social skills, fine motor skills, and more. There were daily tasks that needed to be completed like sanitizing toys, picking up the gym, and cleaning therapy rooms. Lastly, I helped therapist with projects on a daily basis, such as making a food chart for a child with food sensitivity or making a morning routine schedule for children who need help with the daily task at home. Internship Trainee

• May 2017 - May 2018

I worked with special needs children in a classroom setting which included activities like circle time, counting the days of the month, singing about the weather and attendance. I assisted with recess, lunch, and transitions from each activity. I assisted the teachers in classroom duties like cleaning at the end of the day, keeping the sensory bins and other therapy tools organized, while keeping all the children’s belongings together. Lastly performed one on one therapy and assisted the teacher with their sessions, like interactions with I-Pads, learning shapes, matching and client specific goals. I helped the students achieve their daily goals, which were helping them work toward the end of the year goals. This experience was an amazing opportunity and will cherish all the learning/special moments. - I did aftercare at Illuminate Academy as well for three months. I monitored the kids outside and inside the school. I signed kids out when the parents came to pick them up. I also handled after-school snacks, games, and other activities on the playground.
