I met Jorden during my first semester as a freshman at Utah State University. I had started working at the Center for Space Engineering, and didn't really know what I was getting myself into. Jorden was there to support and encourage me every step of the way. I remember looking back on our meeting a year later and thinking there was no way I could have imagined learning so much in a single short year. Jorden was a big part of that. His technical expertise and friendly encouragement helped me get my feet under me. He has been more than an advisor and mentor, he has been a good friend. Every time I run into him he is still very supportive and interested in my projects. He is a great educator and mentor.

Jorden and I worked together on the SPORT mission for the USU Center for Space Engineering. Jorden mentored me as I first was learning to work with embedded systems on small satellites. Jorden has a considerable amount of experience and a thorough understanding of embedded electronics principles. He loves to share his knowledge with others and help them come to the same level of understanding that he has. I highly recommend Jorden and hope to have the opportunity to work with him on a future project.

As part of the Platform Software team, I developed drivers and system apps for our Windows and Andriod devices. These drivers allow our users to access GPIOs that can be used for their specific hardware integration. The system apps I have created allow users to change settings with hardware on our device such as GNSS, TouchScreen, etc. Since I started working at Juniper Systems I have learned a great deal about build custom Android OS's. I worked with an Attitude Determination and Control System for a 2u cube sat. I am using MatLab HDLcoder to help build a Simulink Model for the system as a whole as well auto code it to the FPGA. I also help make the digital end connect to the analog end with many space instruments. I used this position to mentor up and coming undergraduate students and helped them gain the skills to complete a verity of projects. As the summer fellow I aided in the design of a 1u Cube sat including, developing the main flight plan, using micro controllers to aid in testing, and planning communication down-link. I designed a circuit board for a high altitude balloon fight payload. The board was designed using Eagle. This board connected to a STM32F4 development kit for our micro controller. This logged data from payload such as temperature, relative pressure, and altitude.
