Jordan and I co-founded and co-led a chapter of the international organization, Project HEAL,at our high school in September, 2013. We organized fundraising events, managed awareness campaigns and led weekly educational meetings on eating disorders, body image and mental health. In October 2014, we co-coordinated a National Eating Disorders Association Walk in our hometown, which drew 300 participants and raised over $17,000. We spent nine months managing logistics, fundraising efforts, public relations and community outreach and oversaw several committees. During all of our work together, Jordan has always been ambitious, reliable, and a creative problem-solver. Jordan has an excellent ability to see the big picture and use that to constantly design and reassess our strategies and directions to better reach our goals and audience. She consistently has pushed me to not accept "good enough" and brings a great deal of needed optimism towards our project goals, while planning realistic steps and strategies to get there. She understands people's skills and needs, and is thoughtful about the way she delegates tasks to others and communicates with them. She is great at managing a team and keeping everyone on track. Jordan has always been a valuable partner and manager in our endeavors and has both the drive and abilities to be successful in her future work.
