      Compiled a set of more than 200 Asset Based Loans contracts extracted from firm’s filings with the SEC over 19 years (1996-2015) from different industries using EDGAR Analyzed each contract and compiled a data set consisting of 25 loan features, including financial covenants, reporting deadlines, and covenant restriction levels Compared Asset Based Loan’s to traditional cash-flow based financing in terms of covenant restrictiveness and frequency of covenants in each contract to find a correlation between restrictiveness and specific financing method Concluded covenants have become laxer over time among asset-based loans, statistically, have less covenant restrictiveness in comparison to traditional cash-flow based financing Show less
