Monica Fontaine, MPA
At Associated Students, Jordan showed an amazing dedication and attention to detail. As a newcomer, he was also incredibly welcoming and helped me find my way. How much he cares is evident in every project we worked on together, especially the Wellness center he endlessly advocated for, making sure Associated Students had a place. He takes a role and fits into seamlessly, making it his own. I hope to someday have an opportunity to work with Jordan again, it would be an honor.

Jordan did an outstanding job as staff leader for the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee. He was always well organized, great attention to detail and he could seemingly turn on a faucet and out came great volunteers. i believe Jordan will have a great public service career and am happy to enthusiastically recommend him.

Advance Native Political Leadership is an Indigenous woman-led organization working to expand equity and representation of Native people in U.S. politics. Of the 519,000+ elected offices nationally from city councils to President, Native American's should occupy roughly ~17,000 of those seats to simply have representational parity based on population. Of those 519,000+, we currently hold less than 200. That's a big problem. In my role as National Program Director for Advance, we've accomplished: ♦ Launching the Native Leadership Institute, a first-of-it's-kind institute addressing key leadership development, data infrastructure, and messaging challenges designed by and for Indigenous peoples. Our 4-day candidate training program prepares Indigenous candidates to run for office and win. ♦ Build Native Power Coalition, a network of over a dozen state and national Native-led nonprofit and political organizations focused on building political power for Native peoples. Chief of Staff

Apr 2019 - Sep 2021
As the founding Chief of Staff for VoteAmerica, starting with just myself and our CEO, I designed the organizational infrastructure and operational cadence that scaled a $12.5M national voter turnout nonprofit from 2 to 30 employees in the span of less than a year. In our first year, our highlights were: ♦ proactively sent more than 112 million P2P SMS messages to the New American Majority in the most competitive districts in the country; ♦ blanketed advertising on 400+ college campuses and every HBCU in the country; ♦ built the best research and development team in the space - resulting in a up-to-the-minute database of election deadlines and changes available to partners through an API; ♦ launched a suite of tools to help voters navigate the COVID crisis by signing up to vote-by-mail online, registering to vote online, receiving text reminders on important election information, find their polling place, among others; ♦ impacted 25M voters: registered over 5.7 million people and signed up 3.2 million to vote-by-mail targeted at the rising american electorate in the most competitive districts in the country; ♦ filed suit against the state of Georgia over SB202 in partnership with the Campaign Legal Center and Voter Participation Center, see Raffensperger v. VoteAmerica (2021); ♦ launched a Native American Engagement Initiative: identifying competitive districts across the country and funding voter turnout initiatives targeted at Native voters. Primary victory was partnering with 4Directions, the Rural Utah Project, Navajo & Hopi COVID Relief Effort, and the Navajo Nation to fund gas cards, phone banking, SMS outreach, food and water, and Navajo staff to aid turnout on the AZ side of the reservation in the aftermath of Yazzie v. Hobbes (2020); Visit us at VoteAmerica.com
