Jordan is a generous and humble mentor, he is initiative and a super friendly colleague. During my first experience as a Junior Developer, Jordan guided me through the tasks and always made sure I deliver high-quality code while extending my knowledge in different aspects. He gives excellent and practical advice, and is always encouraging and positive, even when you make mistakes. He maintains high-quality code and gives kind and thoughtful code reviews. I’m lucky to have worked with Jordan and learned a lot from him.

I love working with Jordan! Jordan's full of energy and has a great sense of humor. I also feel he has a strong drive to move things forward. Jordan organises all our team ceremonies and keeps the team running in line with each other. I find Jordan is often a beacon of light for the team in times where we find ourselves in dark unexplored territories. But enough about his leadership skills. On to his technical skills. So besides his incredible leadership skills, Jordan is also a well trained highly knowledgable Lead Frontend Developer. He is able to provide the necessary mentorship to other developers who are just making that jump from average to expert level. Jordan is extemely knowledgable in React, Backbone, JS and all the usual web technologies. He also greatly improved our test setup and webpack development setups. I would definately definately recommend Jordan to anyone! He's amazing at what he does!

At eBay, I used Javascript and the latest frontend technologies to help millions across Benelux to buy and sell safely across eBay's online classified sites Marktplaats.nl and 2dehands.be. Upon joining Marktplaats.nl, we built node microservices and internal JS/TS libraries that transformed the site into a multi-tenant platform that also supports the 2dehands / 2ememain brands. After the migration, we continued to develop upon various microservices flavours, ranging from pure back-end services to RESTful APIs, powering Single Page Applications with and without Server Side Rendering using NodeJs, React, Redux, ExpressJs, Webpack and NextJs that were scalable and testable with Jest and React Testing Library. During my time there, I worked on the Interactions team, where we developed a user review system and integrated third-party providers to build a P2P payment journey with shipping parcels between users. To help with recruiting and training new developers, I was involved with the hiring pipeline (CV screening, interviewing candidates, evaluating tech assignments) as well as mentoring junior developers to improve their technical and soft skills. After noticing a lot of senior and junior engineers outside of the Frontend chapter were not comfortable working on the microservices, I created an educational criteria and trained them in best practices for developing and deploying the Node microservices. Joining the team, I was responsible for focusing on the constant improvement of the site performance and speed using Critical CSS and Lighthouse. With the team, we integrated an eBay Classified's in-house centralised advertising platform to include third-party listings for smaller businesses. Moving away from eBay Classifieds Group's global platform, we migrated Kijiji to a Javascript framework that is self-documenting, isolated, modular and testable with single entry points for other developers to easily build from and implement. Owning our own codebase, I was able to help redesign the user’s Frontend experience, as documented by the User Experience Architect, as well as a responsive design to be more mobile-friendly.I coordinated and hosted tech meet-up events at the Kijiji office for our development team and organisations helping diversity in the tech industry. These events included design jams, presentations and social gatherings to meet new developers for recruiting. Show less

I built interactive websites for mobile devices and edited videos for clients. To help our clients inform their users, we created a CMS for them to customise animations on their websites.
