Jordan is a smart and tireless writer, editor, and consultant. His years as a pop-culture writer and editor have given him a keen eye as to how to get people's attention for content, and how to keep it. He's wildly creative, and an idea machine: His bio says "I don't sleep much," which finally solves the mystery I've always pondered: "How does Jordan get so much done?" His admirable work ethic and desire to make every project soar makes him someone everyone should want on their team.

Jordan is the type of writer and reporter who makes an editor's job easier. He's constantly generating ideas, and has the energy, persistence, and work ethic to execute any assignment he's given. I worked with Jordan during my time as Editor-In-Chief at Yahoo TV/Yahoo Entertainment, and he was always a great presence to have in the office. His enthusiasm for and knowledge of entertainment and pop culture is boundless, he's got a great attitude (even under deadline), and did I mention he's a hard worker? I wholeheartedly endorse Jordan and believe he'd be an excellent addition to any editorial team.

I was the first full-time reporter and media producer at More Perfect Union, a progressive, worker-focused media organization that continues to grow in size and influence. I write, report, produce, and script stories about politics, policy, and the revived workers’ rights movement. My beats and areas of expertise include: - Starbucks and Amazon unionization campaigns. Having covered each from their inception, I’ve turned More Perfect Union into the go-to source for news and information on both campaigns, Starbucks in particular. We’ve been able to shape news cycles and have a tangible impact on organizing, NLRB cases, and bargaining. - Labor coverage more generally. We’ve been reporting from picket lines and union halls since the company opened, and much of my reporting, in strikes and negotiations between unions and major corporations have helped workers tell their stories and win better contracts. - Politics and policy at every level of government, from city governments to the White House. I’ve built significant stories on both legislation and elections in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, New York, and other states. I’ve also broken scoops about lawmakers that became national headlines. - I'm also heavily involved in community engagement and distribution, working with social media, and building our brand and reach. - As the first producer, my role has been to help set the template for how our reporting and videos look, feel, and present information. That continues to develop, as does the role I play in moving the organization forward. Show less

In 2017, I launched Progressives Everywhere, a newsletter and website aimed at spotlighting progressive candidates, campaigns, and causes. I've since changed the newsletter's name to Progress Report and refocused it on covering grassroots movements, government policy, and elections. Through the newsletter, I have interviewed star legislators and activists, brought attention to urgent issues ignored by the national media, and become a trusted source for deep insights into politics and policy. There are now 27,000 subscribers and counting. Newsletter stats: - Over $7 million raised for candidates and causes - Over $1.5 million raised for bail funds and civil rights groups Show less

Features editor for SYFY.com at the SYFY cable network. Focused on writing, reporting, editing, podcast hosting, video, and audience development. Over two and a half years, I fully reimagined and revamped the Features section, bringing in new writers and establishing new franchises that have increased traffic and industry standing. We published multiple big-name interviews per day, execute oral histories of major pop culture properties, run weekly series, produce several ongoing podcasts (one of which I hosted), and made headlines around the industry. I also executed a number of long-term projects for the company. Additionally, I focused on connecting with and building our audience, engaging with influencers and well-known fans of different genres and gearing our coverage toward fan interests. I also co-hosted 120 episodes of the podcast "The Fandom Files," which largely featured interviews with and features on super-fans. Show less
