Jordan is by far one of my most hard-working committee members, and has honestly been a joy to work with. He begun writing for us in early 2018, and since then has flourished in both talent and confidence. He applied for the very competitive position of Sub-Editor, focussing on giving a final copyedit for articles under the Sports, International and Sci/Tech section. He has also won the accolade of 'Article of the Week' multiple times, most recently with his provoking piece on the Vietnamese lorry tragedy and his accessible yet thorough analysis of the jackfruit. I can always rely Jordan to be on hand to help, as he is always enthusiastic to help out with coverage of University events, the General Election and various news articles. As someone who consistently goes above and beyond, myself and my Deputy Editor recently promoted him to the role of Deputy Science and Technology Editor - a usually unprecedented move on our part, but is undoubtedly indicative of how much Jordan has impressed us with his talent, work ethic and ambition. I am very excited to see where he takes the Science and Technology section in the future, as I know now that under him it is in incredibly safe hands. As I have said, Jordan has flourished in confidence during his Wessex Scene journey, and I have every faith that in the future, he will continue to blossom into the exceptional scientific journalist I know he is.
