      To support my studies I did some voluntary journalism work for matches at my local football club, Altrincham F.C. I contacted the club's press officer who allowed me to attend the team's home matches in their press box. I would then produce a pre-match preview before kick-off, a report during the match and then finally a post-match summary. The experience at Altrincham provided me with a good insight as to what it’s like inside a press-box and work alongside local sports journalists, whilst at the same time improving my reporting & overall writing skills.
