I have been with the company for over 4 and a half years now and it is very sad to leave after working my way up from being in glass wash to running the venue, however, it is time to look for greater opportunities and explore a new path within the hospitality industry. In my time with the company I have been a duty manager for a year and have been running the venue on several of our busiest nights, including Mayday, several milk nights, and their new event Ku De Ta, all while undertaking several responsibilities with-in and with-out of the venue. These include creating and running staff incentives, monitoring and responding to reviews and complaints while driving the number of good reviews and competing against the other venues within the company to become the best venue, being sent to other venues around the country to help out when understaffed ad even run their venues when in need. Prior to my role in management, as a Head Bartender, I have held staff training (including product training), participated in freshers fayres, and student lock-ins, won bar competitions, smashed in-house and company incentives, held records, and holding cocktail masterclasses. With each experience focusing on the core values of good customer service which has always been a focus and has allowed me to achieve so much. Since the time I started, I have taken £0.6 million in for the venue out of the total £10 million the bar has made. This is 6% of the total sales, 4x more than the predicted 1.5% due to there being over 60 different staff members since then. Show less

I enjoyed my time with the company. Most young adults would like to - at some point - gain bar experience but most places don't hire without experience. Hence the saying, “need experience for the job but need the job for experience”. It is for this reason that I am grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to work with them which led me to bigger and better opportunities. After a short term of only 6 months, I was offered the role of bar supervisor and I undertook all responsibilities required of the position. I have been part of great things and fantastic opportunities including one of the clubs first masterclasses which have now become common practice due to great reviews. Show less
