I was Jordan’s direct manager at Akademos. I’d say one of her greatest strengths is her ability to communicate and connect with people. Not only is this skill necessary to build relationships with our customers, but Jordan took it a step further as she applied it to the well-being of people at Akademos. Jordan was dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for mindfulness, breath, and movement to improve the overall well-being of our colleagues. She spearheaded a program called Mindfulness Mondays where she provided tools and tips to help the team reduce their stress. These simple tools helped me remember to pause. I even wrote inhale 4, exhale 8 on a sticky note that is still on my monitor to remind me to breathe when things get really busy. I loved these sessions and feel they truly made a difference for both the team and myself.

I’ve known Jordan for over a year and a half and her energy since day one has always been calming, yet upbeat. Her ability to make you feel heard and cared for is unmatched. Jordan would lead what she called Mindfulness Monday on a monthly basis and these 20-minute sessions were always a welcome calendar reminder before the chaos of the busy work week ahead. She took the time to ask participants if we had any type of intentions or goals for the session, shared the importance or science behind the focus for that day, and then led us through breathing exercises and gentle movement. These sessions, led by Jordan's calming spirit and soothing voice, allowed me to step away from the busy, be present in the moment, and enjoy some calm and clarity before jumping back into work. I valued these monthly sessions and look forward to joining Vybrant Living classes in the future!
