During the summer of 2017, I served as a member of the percussion education staff for Katy High School’s band camp, helping to shape the percussion section into one that would go on to win the percussion caption at the Katy ISD Marching Contest. In addition, throughout the course of the 2017 fall marching season, the band as a whole experienced a great amount of success which was emphasized by its earning of a One at the UIL Regional Marching Contest.
