Working to develop AS-IS understanding of Katerra's product-to-delivery process and system architecture. This role builds on my previous experience focusing on materials management and PLM practices by branching into other areas (manufacturing, project execution, sales, etc) of our vertically integrated system and driving technology solutions across the value chain. Thrilling stuff!

My team works to understand business requirements, design processes, and develop & deploy capabilities key to product development and our supply chain operations. We are primarily focused on master data management (MDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM).I'm working to build my team into a well-oiled machine. We've implemented a robust program and project management practice, agile practices, and OKRs. We run scrum sessions with our software partners, define the backlog, and manage the product roadmap. I’ve designed and built a Confluence-based organizational system that provides total transparency to our teams OKRs, processes, tasks, projects, workload, actions lists, and also links into our Jira agile management practice for some work. I’m currently supporting the deployment of our end-to-end construction-focused BOM solution, starting development of business process to support configure-to-order products, re-engineering our product data model, and developing a 3-year PLM roadmap. Some work I’m proud of:- developed a construction-focused BOM creation solution for highly variable building products including software and business processes;- created an information systems architecture to support BOM and Part creation;- provided project management, steering, and requirements definition to IT, internal, and external software development teams for BOM creation, Change Control, and Part Creation;- developed and deployed a broad set of training materials to onboard business users to PLM and the tool; - implemented a sequential part numbering system and streamlined, self-service item creation; and- built and deployed the first phase of an improved manufacturer part creation process in collaboration with our Sourcing team. We've improved data quality and are achieving a 70% reduction in cycle time year-over-year! Show less

I work on a variety of projects in areas related to product data management and business processes. A few of the top wins have been:- scoping & deployment of a requirements management system (Jama) to support product development and drive design automation- design & deployment of Engineering Change Management process and system across the business- design & training of New Product Development process across the businessIn support of standing up our automated CLT factory, I developed a COFG model including tradeoff analyses and simulations. I supported the project team with the design and implementation of a design-of-experiments model for optimization of process equipment. Show less

Assisted with thermal analysis on micro-scale camera module assemblies. Consulted with senior thermal engineer to develop computer FEA analysis, manual analysis methods, and to determine heat transfer modes. Designed a gripper mechanism to hold micro-scale camera components. Used Pro/Engineer to model components, sourced components for gripper, and created part and assembly drawings using ASME-Y14.5 standards. Consulted on the development and design of proprietary technology. Assisted with thermal analysis on micro-scale camera module assemblies. Resident Assistant

Aug 2010 - May 2012
In 2010 I was the RA of an upperclassmen apartment-style dormitory. My job was to increase community and campus involvement in my residents and promote academic and social personal development. I designed events, resolved conflicts on the floor, and performed a variety of administrative tasks. In 2011 I returned to work as a first-year RA where I worked to foster campus involvement in my residents and grow the interpersonal relationships within the floor community. Both experiences taught management and personal skills I find invaluable. Show less

Worked in a 4 person interdisciplinary team to develop a novel wheelchair securement system for different modes of public transportation. Researched and consulted potential clients to determine product requirements. Used simple analysis design methods and feedback from Project Investigator to design a lighter, stronger system with greater mechanical efficiency. Worked independently using SolidWorks Simulation and Solidworks optimization tools to design and CAD the improved design. Assisted in both researching and developing a business and marketing model for the system. Group developed a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant proposal for the system. Show less
