Since June of 2022, I've operated as the Talent Buyer for The Upstairs at Avondale — a top-of-the-line 225-person capacity event space on the Avondale Brewing Co. campus. In this position, I've collaborated across all genres with agents and artists to put the brightest up-and-coming acts in our smaller room. As the Talent Buyer, I've coordinated production details, marketing advances, and day-of-show operations with artists and staff alike to create an exceptional show experience.

      • Aug 2020 - Jul 2021

As a Research Fellow with the JCMP, I spent time analyzing the history of Birmingham's Linn Park in the 1960s in an attempt to illuminate the racial divide of public goods and to show the dualistic history of Linn Park. I worked with the Birmingham Public Library system to pore through archives and the Southern History department; this research was printed alongside other Fellows' decades in a printed report. Now, I am working to educate the public on the history of racial terror in the county as tasked by the Equal Justice Initiative. In this way, I act as an advocate to address the systemic injustices that still exist in our city. Show less

With Domestique Coffee, I helped develop their online ordering system after the COVID-19 pandemic eliminated options for indoor dining. Using Shopify and other POS software, we created a seamless no-contact system with the customer's health in mind. I also worked with company owners to obtain wholesale clients across the Southeast. With the Friends Committee on National Legislation, I organized within my community around common-sense firearm legislation. I lobbied my Congressmembers with other Samford students and citizens of Birmingham to push for change on the issue of gun violence. This grassroots method of organizing under a reputable organization such as FCNL taught me how to communicate politically, organize efficiently, and lead a team of citizens dedicated to tangible change.
