Iris & Electra Co. was an artist-run fine art service, I founded the company in Chicago to operate as a pass-through business for a large budget art commission for The Intercontinental Exchange/NYSE offices in Chicago. As an independent artist, I had worked with designers in the past, creating artwork for client's homes, but in founding Iris and Electra I was able to provide comprehensive exhibition management, from collecting work, framing, exhibition design, to art handling and installation. As an artist run studio creating artwork for clients, our projects included creating video art and animations, video installations, and motion graphics for the web. Strong understanding of the full design lifecycle from concept through build-out, skilled at developing curatorial proposals based on design elevations and FF&E specifications, to create art proposals for clients. After seeing my work at Hoxton Williamsburg I was contracted by Ennismore to create a large-scale art program for The Hoxton Los Angeles. Working remotely from NY, I curated about 125 unique artworks for public spaces, collaborated with LA artists on creating commissions, framing, shipping, exhibition design, and overseeing artwork installation in person. I got my break working in the luxury space at the Ludlow street SOHO House, my company Iris & Electra was brought in last minute when the previous art curator walked out, just before the space opened to the public. Inheriting three large c-bins of framed artworks, most with no labels, no exhibition design plan, and no clue as to what the previous curators intentions were. So I called in a collaborator to work late nights running up and down stairs creating what felt at the time like a multi-room collage. My work there is how I was brought on to work with SOHO house on the Hoxton Williamsburg. For the first Hoxton Hotel in the United States, Ennismore contracted with SOHO House Design, to design the public spaces. I located, purchased, and curated the collection of over 200 pieces of fine art, prints, photography, and paintings that work with the story of Hoxton, Brooklyn, and Williamsburg. Work ranged from high-end originals, to creatively framed and installed vintage pieces. Show less
