  On the 8th March 2018, Asia Asset Management hosted the 2018 MPF Awards, where HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Asia) Limited were announced the 2018 Socially Responsible Award winners.MPF Ratings' Socially Responsible award is new to 2018, and rewards schemes that introduce initiatives that promotes socially responsible outcomes that visibly benefit the people of Hong Kong. Covering the majority of workers in Hong Kong, the MPF industry is in a unique place where decisions made within the industry have the possibility to benefit the lives of Hong Kong's working population. Putting the industry in a position of great influence that can be used to create better outcomes beyond financial outcomes.The Guangdong office have unique arrangement with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), one of the top tier universities in Guangdong Province. HSS Guangdong has been expanding rapidly and has been looking to accommodate their growth by targeting students of GDUFS, providing two semesters of training courses to the students in their third year. Upon successful completion of the course, the students join HSS Guangdong City Office, for a one-year internship in their fourth year. This initiative, pair with the Guangdong office voluntarily encouraging employees to take on the MPF Intermediary Exam in Hong Kong, is what landed the award win for HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Asia) Limited .Our arrangement with GDUFS enables HSS to share knowledge with university students and also gives them a chance to understand how the HSS Guangdong City Office runs and interact with the broader HSS business and employees. During the internship, HSS receives additional support for the operations, providing the chance to recruit the capable university students.
