I've used Aqua Vita over the years for many things; labels, web page development, marketing advice. They have helped me expand my market into local retail stores and now Sam's Club. Good, warm, personal people who do whatever it takes to get your business up and running.

When the market crashed in 2008, my wife and our friend and co-worker Michelle found ourselves at a turning point. The creative company that we worked for was deeply in debt, and could no longer afford to pay us. But, as is so often in life, when one door closes...A few months before, we had been approached by a missionary in Bolivia. He needed help to raise money for a project that would bring clean water and sanitation to a community of 2,000 families in the Andes. The infant mortality rate in this community was about 1 in 5 children before the age of 5. We felt so drawn in by his accounts that we knew that this meeting was not an accident of fate. Over the next few months, we created a brand, a website and a digital fundraising mechanism for him that resulted in over $90,000 raised...more than what was needed to fund our clean water project. Afterwards, he invited us to coffee to explain the impact of our work on what he had done. "Jonathan," he said, "There is an expression in Bolivia: 'Water is life.' Through your work, you've brought the water of life to over 2,000 families."Later that night, as Jess, Michelle and I celebrated the success of the campaign, we thought about what we would name a team that used their creative abilities to make the world a better place. After much debate, our missionary friend's words, "Water of Life," came back to us. And so, "Aqua Vita" - a variation of the Latin "Aqua Vitae," meaning "Water of Life," - was born. Almost a decade later, we've grown from three team members to seven, with clients all over the world. We are debt free, and still family owned...and we're still doing everything we can to capture and retell stories that matter, to make the world a better place. Show less

During my time at Gold Standard Honey, I've helped to take it from a stall at a local farmer's market to a national brand in retailers such as Sam's Club, Natural Grocers, Akin's Natural Foods and Reasor's. Augustine Christian Academy began as dream around a kitchen table in 1995. Life-long educators, their spouses, and some other interested parties had a vision for a Christian school in Tulsa, Okla., that taught in the classical model and would come alongside Christian parents as they sought to train their children to think and reason from a distinctly Christian worldview. These founders were friends and colleagues with many years of teaching experience. One had been educated classically as a child; another had researched extensively about classical education. All involved with setting the course for the scope and sequence of the school had a gift for helping students achieve their best in and out of the classroom. Together they believed that God had great things in store for Christian education in Tulsa. In 1997, St. Augustine Academy (as ACA was known then) opened with fewer than 20 students. Everyone did double and triple duty—teaching, cleaning, working in the office, and more. Augustine’s unique family atmosphere, an integral part of the fabric of the school, was present from the beginning. Students (many of them literal brothers and sisters) got to know their teachers personally since the classes were so small, and regularly helped set-up and tear down classrooms. Everyone pitched in on everything from emptying trash and mopping floors to creating one-of-a-kind decorations for banquets and helping raise school funds. As a result, students and staff alike developed a deep sense of belonging to one another and a commitment to the vision of a school that was unlike any place else. That hasn’t changed. In 2000, God provided property that we could call our own, and we’ve been growing ever since. Show less

I am very proud to say that I have the opportunity to serve my Rotary club as president elect in 2014-15 and as president in 2015-16. I can't imagine my life without Rotary. My first mentor in life was a Rotarian, and his wisdom and moral influence were instrumental in making me who I am today. I can never repay what Rotary has done for me, but that won't stop me from trying. I oversee website development, e-commerce projects and business development for several firms around the country. In short, if you want to build it, promote it or sell it on the web, I'm your man. It's an ever-evolving, constantly changing industry, and a blast to be a part of. My job at Alorica was two-fold: 1. To provide network and electronic hardware support for consumers from Best Buy, CompUSA, Radio Shack, Staples, FutureShop and Panda Anti-Virus. 2. To manage the internal knowledge base used by company technicians. This included product research, article and newsletter writing, design updates to the knowledge base site, and interviewing other technicians for tech tips and article content.
