Jon helped to host the UKs first hybrid event in a theatre with an audience watching via Zoom. What Jon knows is how to 'read the room.' From both an online and an offline audience, it can work when both audiences are catered for and everyone feels a part of something. This is what Jon helped deliver, it doesn't matter where people sit in the world, the energy and care he brings, everyone is in the front row.

Jon delivered the first ever keynote on curiosity-led digital transformation for a new client and, once again, he proved he was up to the task. The insight and impact delivered to C-suite managers across three countries was brilliant. His talk was delivered with humor, energy and passion. More importantly, though, he’d taken the time to really understand the context for my client’s industry, which led to a Q&A that lasted much longer than expected. We couldn’t have been more pleased with Jon.

Everything’s changing. In life and in marketing. Customers flock to a brand one moment and desert it the next. It's hard to get your content right when all is in flux. Unless you're Apple, Go Pro, LEGO, etc, it's even harder to become an indispensable part of a customer's life. So what does TBC look like day to day for me? Along with a team of co-conspirators, I lead workshops for brands and agencies which often leads to social media marketing, content strategy and content creation consultancy gigs. In a sentence, I help brands be more flexible with their content and more rigid with their strategy.

Tad Bit Creative is the creative content division of TBC Global. I've been knee-deep in concepts and copywriting since 1995 and only took a break to write the Newsjacking book. I also lead workshops which often turn into content creation gigs. At Tad Bit Creative, we've created tone-of-voice guides for start-ups and brands. At Tad Bit Creative, we've created tone-of-voice guides for start-ups and brands. We've launched the UK's first national chain of trampoline parks, creating mascots, animated films, web copy and blog posts. We've worked for sports teams, sport sponsors & esports brands. We've uncovered the "hidden magic" related to 100s of destinations for hotel brands. We've created a travel brand dedicated to helping Yanks & Brits re-invent the 'road trip." If Jon needs help, he calls on his little black book of creative folk. So, why Tad Bit Creative? We've borrowed the self-deprecating British tone. Also, Tad Bit was my nickname at university. There's a funny story there. It's a bit personal but if you're feeling a tad bit ballsy, go on... ask me.

We meet quarterly to discuss and argue about new trends that affect marketing. This gets me excited about judging talks from SXSW each year and helps me stay sharp. Innovation Social was co-founded by smart cookies Nadya Powell and Daniele Fiandaca. I've shared the stage with both of them at SXSW. After finishing my newsjacking book, I led workshops for British Design & Art Direction (D&AD) and built real-time content labs (think trends lab meets social media command centre meets production company) for brands and agencies. I enjoyed several content creation & content strategy (some real-time, some not) gigs at AKQA, Lean Mean Fighting Machine, DigitasLBi, Edelman, London Strategy Unit, Cheil, to name a few. I coined the term "Urgent Genius" and co-created the social media HQ of the same name in 2010 with Grant Hunter. I spoke about our real-time social content machine at SXSW interactive 2011 and co-authored the Urgent Genius book while helping Sony Ericsson, Philips and adidas create shareable content and find ways to have a voice in the hot-topic conversations online. Worked on pitches and for their biggest client Setanta, earning the nickname New Media Jon which I quite liked at the time. My social media early-adopter status came in handy as well as my hardcore football passion. You know where my first job after uni was? I brought to life those mad 118 118 joggers on Twitter back in the early days of brands speaking in 140 characters. It was quite refreshing to see high engagement as a result of giving well-known characters from the TV ads a voice finally. I also helped the agency with pitches. My first community management job for Pizza Hut. In the days before social media, I also got stuck in to the day-to-day: concepts and copy for banner ads (remember those?) and websites for TGI Fridays, Ladbrokes, Churchill, Coursework.info, BAA, SafeStore and a mobile phone company that enables rioting called Blackberry.
