Growing up in Redfern, my family and I utilised the services of Weave, which continues to delivery value to Aboriginal families within the inner Sydney. As a Non-Executive Director I am tasked with providing effective governance, formulating strategic and operation direction of the organisation, monitoring risks and financial and investment activities, and fund raising strategies. Additionally, I sit on the Governance Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee.

Engaging with a range of service providers, corporate organisations, governments and local Aboriginal communities to design and implement a service offering to build the capability of Indigenous businesses and job seekers to connect to opportunities under the Commonwealth Government's Indigenous Procurement Policy and the NSW Government's Aboriginal Procurement Policy and Aboriginal Participation in Construction Policy.As Design and Implementation Lead, I have been tasked with the responsibility to:- lead the formulation of strategies to design the Yarpa Hub’s service responses which will meet the needs of clients including Indigenous business, industry leaders and Indigenous job seekers.- Management of all Hub staff and oversight of service provider staff operating through the Yarpa Hub.- Provide leadership and vision around the development of procurement and employment pipeline opportunities with industry, corporate and government partners.- Ensure that correct and appropriate administrative and financial records are maintained in accordance with Commonwealth Government Financial Agreement and Project Schedule, the NSWALC Policies and Procedures Manual, The Act (ALRA) and audit requirements.

The Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) is a product of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to promote higher Indigenous education outcomes by providing tutorial support to Indigenous students at the Tertiary level institutions. As an ITAS Tutor at the University of New South Wales, I worked with several Indigenous students from across Australia to develop and deliver tailor-made tutorial plans for each individual student for the following subjects: - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies; - Australian Politics & International Relations/Law; - Australian Public & Administrative Law; - Australian Federal Constitutional Law; and - Private Law & Contracts.
