After taking a summer college class on grant writing, I applied for a grant writing internship at CentraCare Health Foundation where I researched grant opportunities and developed proposals. Outside of the scope of my internship, I have also assisted in managerial duties involved with grant funding and development of marketing/graphic design material for our annual Grant Forum. Management was done in collaboration with the Performance Improvement Department of CentraCare Health. In addition to my grant writing duties, I was also able to look at the internal grant submission system and help implement changes. Along with the training module, I traveled to all regional CentraCare hospital and clinics to provide training to staff.
