Jonathan Barnett is the president and founder of Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning. In mid 2006, he started a carpet cleaning company in Denver Colorado. He started with one location then, and in less than four years he's expanded to over 180 franchises in 43 states.Oxi Fresh has grown by leaps and bounds, earning a place in the top ten for the Franchise Times' Fast55, a list of the fastest growing new franchises. This is not a flash-in-the-pan company though. Oxi Fresh has received numerous awards under Mr. Barnett's leadership that indicate the quality of both the company and his work. It has twice been included in the Franchise 500, twice been in Entrepreneur's list of top new franchises, and received numerous awards for franchisee satisfaction. Oxi Fresh, under Jonathan Barnett's guidance, is growing fast and remaining strong.

Jonathan Barnett became a team owner in the International Basketball League roughly a year and a half before he created Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning. He built up a team knows as Colorado Crossover that he toured with for two seasons before he decided to try his hand at something new. His experience in this field increased his interest in franchising and franchise development, and played a role in his decision to create Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning. Jonathan Barnett did something unusual for many college students - he started his own company during summer vacation. Most students are either content to get simple summer jobs or to laze away at their parent's home. Jonathan wanted to pay his way through college and wouldn't have been content with some basic job. So he created Johnny B's and found himself with a small franchise business when he graduated. He sold off the company, but the memory and experience would stay with him, helping lead to Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning.
