In an ever changing Energy and political landscape, never has there been a more challenging and rewarding time to be engaging in the Distributed Energy marketThe role requires the LDM to work across the entire business unit, the wider SSE Enterprise business and for Large Capital Projects, to generate and present to the SSE board for investment approval. Through a series of staged gates, it is the responsibility of the LDM to pull together, validate, coordinate and approve the combined works of up to 10 internal producing stakeholders, presenting this at all levels of internal governance, furthermore, the outputs of these governance gates culminate into a valid proposition for the client. This secondment role spanned two discreate projects. firstly, working on the inception, introduction and implementation of a new Graphical Information System, for the mapping of full MU live assets and secondly as a business support and interface role for SSE Distributed Energy electrical network Control Centre.Though each role differed in nature, commonality came in the form of supporting each project from a business prospective, ensuring the right people were involved, identifying and moving forward pipeline blockages, negotiating contractual details, supporting Subject Matter Experts to achieve their goals whilst ensuring very tight deadlines were achievable.The GIS project was significantly behind schedule but with a lot of hard work from the team, the system was bought online, on time, ensuring continuity to the regulation required mapping system was available to all user.
