Whilst managing production I was responsible for the management of 100 + operatives and their support staff and ensuring that our production output correlated with the customer demand and production needs of the business. Additionally I was tasked with the health and safety welfare of the workforce.As commercial manager my role was primarily to manage the critical path team in the development of each seasons range and to present it to Marks and Spencer at range review. Following successful order uptake the focus then changed on a cyclical / seasonal basis to ensuring that production plans were achieved in remote offshore manufacturing facilities. Inventory was then managed and despatched to Marks and Spencer distribution centres in line with pre defined flow lines and discussions with merchandisers about top sellers. Show less
