      With two roles combined, the role of this position was to create a dynamic platform for youth services and to become a valuable and effective service for any children, teenager and/or young adults who struggle with substance use disorders and/or addictive behaviors or impacted by someone else's behavior. Successfully accomplishing this mission resulted in hundreds of teenagers and young adults met in various groups and also individually, and that have seen significant and noticeable positive change in their lives.Responsibilities included:- Intake and assess clients for substance use disorders and/or addictive behaviors;- Create and sustain therapeutic alliance with clients;- Provide weekly individual counselling and create strategic rehabilitation plans;- Animate and facilitate group workshops on substance use disorders and/or addictive behaviors;- Refer and coordinate services with specialized resources such as psychologist, in-patient rehabilitation centers, doctors, etc.- Create, promote, coordinate and execute the alternative suspension program for any youth suspended from high-schools around Montreal for reasons involving drugs and/or alcohol;- Create, promote, coordinate and execute high-school presentations for spreading awareness about addiction;- And attend two clinical team supervisions weekly and one individual.
