Jonathan is a highly skilled and valuable team member. A highly consultative technical sales consultant who is authentic and genuine who builds high levels of trust with customers. He's an excellent communicator, transparent and operates cross-functionally with internal and customer stakeholders to close complex deals. I really enjoyed working with Jonathan, and hope to do so again in the future. I really valued his openness and information sharing. I envy the next team that gets to have Jonathan on it!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Jonathan on a number of opportunities relating to genome analysis software. The opportunities were complex as they were multi-stakeholder, within the healthcare system and sought to replace existing software. Jonathan is extremely adept at working with customers to understand their requirements and what barriers there are to change, allowing him to effectively position an alternative solution. Through this process Jonathan earned the respect of customers, built strong relationships and became a trusted advisor. Jonathan is outcome focused and a fantastic team player, working across multifunctional teams to achieve a positive outcome. He was also generous with his time teaching others in the team the soft skills he had gained through his experience. I would highly recommend Jonathan for a role that is customer facing, requires relationship building or training others.

Retreatify is an innovative online platform designed to help companies create engaging and authentic offsite experiences that align with the needs of the modern workforce. As the leader of Retreatify's sales team, I successfully established and streamlined our subscription sales strategy, optimizing our vendor and venue partnerships to create a smooth and efficient sales process. To achieve these results, I developed and implemented a comprehensive business development and prospecting playbook that enabled our team to effectively identify and capitalize on new opportunities. As a result, we successfully doubled our subscription revenue month over month, increasing it from $2k to $10k. In addition to driving revenue growth, I was also instrumental in expanding our partnership opportunities by establishing relationships with new vendors in the restaurant and private event spaces. Moreover, I launched a new virtual marketplace for vendors, expanding our reach and creating new revenue streams for our business. Overall, my strong sales acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to build and manage effective partnerships have been integral to the success of Retreatify. Show less

As the Senior Vice President of Commercial Development at Ranomics, I spearheaded the transformation of the business into a highly profitable enterprise. My contributions include building a robust sales system from the ground up, pivoting the SaaS business model to a high-growth enterprise sales model within a year and a half, and closing six-figure deals with over 30 mid-sized and large biotech/pharmaceutical partners. Additionally, I identified and secured top-tier talent, developed a comprehensive growth strategy, collaborated with senior leadership to set revenue goals and company strategy, and implemented a sales plan to drive revenue growth. My extensive market knowledge allowed me to create strong relationships with key clients at both senior and mid-management levels, work collaboratively with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities, and stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends. My skills in dealing with complex regulatory landscapes, multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, complex negotiations, and entrenched competitors enabled me to achieve unprecedented growth, including growing the revenue of the VariantFind service quarter over quarter since its launch in November 2017, and opening up new service opportunities in Canada's cannabis space. Ranomics is a multifaceted genomics and synthetic biology organization that conducts in-house functional genomics R&D and offers services to a diverse range of companies in areas such as therapeutics, agribusiness, industrial biochemicals, new food, cannabis, and more through its proprietary Variant Find platform. The platform provides the ability to create DNA variant libraries for any targeted region in a gene or the entire gene, with applications including protein and enzyme engineering, antibody optimization, and high-throughput screening.
