I first met Jon in approx. 2013 when he was the Assistant Plant Manager at the Ngawha Geothermal Power Station near Kaikohe. I was conducting a joint ISO 9001 & NZS 7901 audit on the plant. Jon was open and presented himself well with a good systems and documentation knowledge. He spoke well and the operators on shift also spoke well of him and that was the status quo every time I met him in the years that followed, until he left the plant in 2019 to make a career change into a more safety focussed role down near Hamilton. He is reliable and has the benefit of some good military training to help him when the times get tough. I do not need any staff but I'd be more than happy to employ him if my requirements change as, along with a sound knowledge base and quick learner you get a nice guy with a sense of humour, an asset in itself!

Jonathon worked for me directly during our time together in the Royal Navy as a senior engineering manager. His responsibilities included not only the technical and engineering requirements of maintaining a busy technical department but also the management of resources including supplies and more importantly manpower. In the role he drove his team to deliver a very strong technical department with a high percentage of equipment efficiency, good output and demonstrated an exemplary safety record throughout. On a personal level Jonathon is very easy to work with and for as he has a calm assured and friendly nature allied to the fact that he is a very committed and dedicated individual with a strong will to succeed Professionally he is organised, pro-active and diligent. Coupling this with his own dedication and commitment makes him an ideal candidate for any workplace but especially any role involving a technical/engineering or management position for which I would greatly recommend him. It was an absolute pleasure to work with John in the past and I would relish the opportunity again in the future.
