  First job after college. Started as an Operations Engineer at an LM Facility in Archbald, PA which is near Scranton, PA. I was selected directly out of college to participate in Lockheed Martin's Operations Leadership Development Program. This was a Prestigious early Career Program for high potential individuals. I worked two, six-month rotations in Archbald for one full year of work experience. I started in Quality Engineering, and among other tasks, trained in their new SAP system, and was ultimately teaching more senior engineers how to use the system before I left the department, a short time later. My second rotation was in more of a machine shop environment, wherein, I functioned as Manufacturing Engineering support. I reviewed stack up drawings for an assembly that was not able to be produced to engineering requirements, worked on minor day to day issues, and also started an LM21 Green Belt project, which was very nearly completed before I rotated to Ft. Worth in July 2008, but final implementation was held up due to budget constraints. Show less
