Aperture manufacture products for the fenestration Industry, with a turnover of approx. £110 mil per year, working in a finance department of 20 people. My main responsibilities include. • Weekly stock reporting, and month end reconciliations, for £13 million of stock • Improvement of the stock system, to reduce out of stock and planning errors • Reporting and planning for the annual budgets and 5-year plans • Integration of new businesses into the companies costing systems • Regular updating the standard cost I costed the stock for 4 group Companies. 2 recently acquired, incorporating them into the existing costing systems. Working as part of a team to add in the Bills of material for the Glass office and helped to reorganise the reporting structures of the company following reorganisation of the company. I maintain the standard costing system of the resulting 25,000 material codes and the resulting finished products, explaining the changes to the standards as required. This experience and understanding lead me to deal with system based problems with processing transactions, in a timely basis as this generally lead to problems with processing payments to suppliers, or invoicing customers, ensuring that income and expenses match and were reported in the correct periods. During this I helped continually improve the Bills of material, by working with various production managers and supervisors to establish the correct components for the BOM and leasing with the planning and IT departments to amend the BOMS accordingly. The resulting data was fed into the monthly cost of sales, and the subsequent planning forecasts for the budget and 5-year plans. to explain the cost of sales base upon the various material groups and allow the various assumptions to be made in the forecasts for the future changes. I ended up introducing the new product ranges to the company and redesigning the systems processes as the various business units are consolidated into 1 unit.

I worked for a factory in the UK who made Inhalers for the group's health care division. My main responsibilities include; • Analysing and controlling the manufacturing overhead (approx. £25mil per year). • Analysing and controlling and communicating the R&D spending (approx. £10mil) • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Preparation of the annual budgets for the Manufacturing Overheads and R&D • Preparation of the 5-year plan for the manufacturing overheads and R&D expense • Working out the annual R&D tax credit and communicating this to the auditors • Monthly EC sales list and reconciliation to the Intrastat and Vat report I maintained control of the factory overheads, meeting a tight 5 working day deadline each month, while working with the R&D director and managers to monitor and control the various projects being undertaken. This resulted in the costings for the annual budget and the annual review of the 5-year plan.

A midlands animal feed company (Turnover £43 mil) who had taken over a Kent based animal feed business Nettex which had an annual turnover of £6 million. My main responsibilities include. • Creating a monthly management accounting pack, and the ongoing production. • Reconciliation of the Balance sheet Accounts • Reconciliation of the Invoice Discounting scheme • Preparation for the first audit of the new business • Start circulation of information to the managers of the business. • Production of the fixed Asset Register • Compiling the expenses receipts from the staff • Implementing foreign exchange revaluations, for the sales & purchase ledgers • Preparation of the annual Budget The company had just acquired Nettex and looked to incorporating them into the existing Rumenco accounting systems. This involved working with managers with no financial experience as the accountant had left. My key achievement was to turn a company who had gone through the uncertainties of a change of ownership, into a set of accounts with fully reconciled balance sheet, maintained the monthly profit and Loss reporting, and reconcile the Invoice discounting.
