I have worked with many professionals throughout my carrier, but working with Jonathan was different and unique in many ways. He is such a delightful person to have around. Being not only the supervisor and the CEO to work with but, he is a wonderful mentor and a great leader. He is innovative, organized as well as helpful and is always open to ideas and suggestions. With his great experience and in-depth knowledge, he has made me improve in many professional areas and taught me about many skills including leadership skills, engaging with the institutional clients, the blockchain ecosystem and the related cryptocurrency space to name a few. It was indeed a great pleasure to be managed by him for all these years I've worked at Margin UG. I still miss and will always miss all the great time I've had working with Jonathan.

In March 2008, I began my tenure at the Excellence Cluster under the guidance of Professor Helge Ritter at Bielefeld University, where I was entrusted with leading the Manual Intelligence Lab. During my time there, I published over 40 articles, both during my PhD and throughout my time in the lab. My primary responsibility was to develop an incrementally growing database of manual interactions, which would help establish manual intelligence research on a more empirical basis. This involved the study of manual interactions in humans and the creation of a database populated with multimodal information, including geometry, tactile sensor data, visual cues, and audio feedback. This comprehensive data allowed us to model a wide variety of manual interaction scenarios. The database we created has since become an invaluable tool, particularly in the field of robotics, where it is used to help robots perform complex tasks that were previously reserved for humans. This work represents an important step forward in the development of artificial intelligence and underscores the significant potential for collaboration between humans and machines.

During my time as a lecturer, I had the opportunity to design and teach two courses from the ground up - Technical English and Measurement Technology (Messtechnik). Teaching English to university students was an incredibly rewarding experience, and I made a concerted effort to instill in my students a deep appreciation for the language. In addition to English, I also took on the challenge of teaching a course in Messtechnik, which required me to learn LabView from scratch and conduct lectures in German. Though it was a daunting challenge, I was determined to rise to the occasion, and ultimately found it to be an immensely rewarding experience. Teaching a technical course in a new language presented a challenging opportunity for me. Though I was already proficient in German, I had never lectured in the language before and was required to learn many new technical words.

My primary research interest focused on the development of cutting-edge speckle reduction algorithms for digital holography. In this field, speckle - which occurs when coherent light is diffused by an optically rough surface - is a persistent issue that degrades image quality and makes it difficult to accurately view small details. In addition to speckle reduction, I also investigated methods for overcoming occlusions and eliminating unwanted twin images in the field of digital holography. These challenges are inherent to the use of coherent light in holography and require innovative solutions in order to achieve the highest possible quality in rendered images.

During my time at Scottish Equitable International (now Aegon International), I was responsible for working on a large and complex JAVA application that was instrumental in managing investments for affluent private clients. Our team leveraged cutting-edge technology to wrap funds in a life insurance financial instrument, which provided significant tax benefits to our clients. Throughout my tenure, I liaised with staff from various departments such as Customer Relations, Investment, Business Development, and Actuary. This collaborative approach allowed us to effectively manage and execute on the investment strategies of our clients, while also ensuring that their individual needs and preferences were being met. The work was challenging, but ultimately very rewarding. While my time at Scottish Equitable International has since come to an end, the experience has left an indelible mark on my career and has helped to shape the way I approach challenges in the financial sector.

With a spirit of adventure I took up a job as an English teacher in Korea in 2002. The experience was truly transformative, allowing me to immerse myself in the fascinating culture, customs, and cuisine of this amazing country. As an English teacher, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of wonderful children, each of whom brought their own unique perspectives and experiences to the classroom. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to see the progress and growth that my students made, and to know that I was helping to shape their future in some small way. Although my initial plan was to stay for a year, I was so taken by the people and culture of Korea that I ended up extending my stay for several additional months. This experience taught me so much about the power of adventure, and the importance of stepping outside of one's comfort zone in order to gain a deeper appreciation for the world around us.

During my time as a Java developer at Marconi, a leading network management technology company, I had the privilege of working on an exciting new project focused on Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). This project involved contributing to the original functional specification document, as well as working on both the backend code and the graphical user interface (GUI). Being part of the project from the outset gave me a unique perspective and allowed me to make significant contributions to the development of the technology. This work was both challenging and rewarding, and I learned a great deal about the intricacies of network management technology and the critical role it plays in our increasingly connected world. My time at Marconi was a formative experience that helped to shape my career as a Java developer. The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and collaborate with talented individuals from a variety of backgrounds was truly invaluable, and I remain grateful for the knowledge and experience gained during my tenure at the company.

Early in my career, I was fortunate to land a position at a small startup where I was the ninth, and most junior employee. Working in this dynamic and fast-paced environment, I had the opportunity to learn a wealth of new technologies, including Apache Web Server, Cocoon, XML, WAP, and ASP. One of my primary responsibilities was rapid prototype development, which allowed me to hone my skills as a developer and to work collaboratively with my team to deliver cutting-edge solutions. In addition, I was tasked with preparing Functional Specification Documents, product presentations, and demos, which gave me invaluable exposure to the wider product development process. This experience was a fantastic first step in my career, coming shortly after I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Working at a small startup provided me with a unique perspective on the industry and allowed me to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly-evolving field. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that taught me the value of hard work, collaboration, and the power of innovative thinking.
