  Formula SAE is an engineering competition in which students design and build a tube frame or carbon monocoque formula car, typically powered by a motorcycle engine. The vehicles are then tested in dynamic competitions (acceleration, skid pad, lap times, endurance) and static presentations to determine the best vehicle. • President (2020-2022): Lead the team through distance learning ensuring that we are able to continue to make progress and connect with new members. • Business Lead (2020-2022): In charge of sponsor relations, budget tracking, fundraising, and outreach. Led a new effort to automate a Google Sheet budget tracking system to ensure that we properly manage our roughly $75,000 budget. • Quality Assurance Officer (2019-2020): Tasked with ensuring new designs are compliant with FSAE rule book and verifying the car is safe to drive before test days. This includes checking every critical fastener is secured in the proper manner and that the vehicle is structurally sound. • Test Day Lead (2019-2020): Charged with organizing and executing a successful test day, which includes coordinating several sub-teams to maximize accuracy and quantity of data that can be received in each run, insure safety of car between every run, keep team on pre-planned schedule, and organize procedures required between tests (tire pressure/temperature reading and analysis; driver (de)brief; frame, suspension, and engine check; and set-up). • Member of the chassis and powertrain sub-teams (2018-2019): Aided in designing a weight saving fuel tank and a new exhaust (which uses the resonance of the exhaust pulse to reduce volume). • Learned how important it is to be both meticulous and efficient personally, while also enabling others to reach their potential.
