  Coordinator of the studio initiative in the inner city community of Pittsburgh, in the heart of Southwest Atlanta. I have supported other artists/leaders to create and foster an open free environment for learning and empowerment. Developed a studio layout for all leaders. Implemented valuable techniques and ideas that help students achieve the necessary goals for the program. Mentored young people to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Facilitated workshops and learning exercises. Organized events catered to the community, by empowering volunteers and engaging all people to make healthy life choices.

  As an assistant director, at AWOL, I was responsible for managing 60x plus young artist. I had to make sure that I was organized; practice productive time-management skills; and push all students to remain on task. I supported my director and insured that their vision was implemented at all times. My students were depending on me and I knew I could not let them down. I encouraged and motivated them to be creative and to go above and beyond. Some of my students have successfully graduated high school and are now pursuing careers in the arts. I took value in my position and wanted to bring the best out of all my students. I wanted them to believe that they can conquer the world.

  Assisted the theater director of AWOL, by implementing ideas during the creative process of show and helping ensure that their vision was carried out throughout the entire process.• Directed AWOL’s and Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs’ fall production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (November 30- December 7).• Implemented valuable ideas and techniques to achieve necessary objectives.• Facilitated workshops, and education exercises on the history of theater and theatrical process.• Empowered young actors to be creative, to believe in their gifts, and to always explore different acting choices.• Mentored troubled youth, by using theater as a tool for change.
