Cambridge, England, United Kingdom Designed and implemented the system architecture for the Logitech Scribe smart USB camera. I had a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the project was delivered on time and with the reliability expected of a Logitech product. These included resolving issues with the board support package including corruption introduced by the USB gadget driver, and deadlocks in the Bluetooth stack. This included performing private technical demonstrations to numerous industrial partners and exhibiting our innovations at the NAB and IBC trade shows. We were presented with a DTG bronze award on our work towards streaming HDR video to mobile devices. Working closely with the HDR display manufacturer SIM2, I developed a cross-platform HDR video player which we used to demonstrate the quality of my innovations in HDR video compression when displayed side-by-side on a prototype HDR display and a consumer HDR display. In collaboration with Imagination Technologies, we developed a prototype HDR video capture system for mobile phones written in OpenCL. Show less

Working as a software engineering intern I developed the world's first real-time HDR video compression suite as a collaboration between Computer Science and WMG. The software utilised the power of OpenCL, GPGPU and a number of novel algorithms to accelerate the previously offline task of HDR video compression to allow HDR video to be captured and live-streamed. Further contributions include field-testing a prototype HDR video camera and the development of a macOS application to present… Show more Working as a software engineering intern I developed the world's first real-time HDR video compression suite as a collaboration between Computer Science and WMG.
