Assistant VR Technician
-
Oct 2020 - Nov 2020
The Geneva International Film Festival hired me as an assistant VR technician for the VR Cinema. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the festival had to close for this 26th edition, but I helped with another project they had named Media Library. It was a website where visitors could stream 360 short movies within their web browsers or in a VR headset. My role consisted to test the website in different VR headsets and make sure that the videos were streaming correctly and the user interface was functional and easy to use. All technical issues were reported directly to the developers in charge of the website.

Through Prime IT, I was mandated to the Public Transports Geneva (TPG) to continue the development of the tramway driving simulator started with Stratosphere VR. During that period of time, I assumed many roles such as UI Designer, Programmer, Project Leader, Light artist. I had to handle the various steps in the development of a project. My UI Designer's role consisted to create the 2D Interface used by the instructors in order to access the various features of the simulator such as the scenarios, the VR view or the quit button. My role as a programmer was to optimize the gameplay of the simulator by adding new features like highlithing 3D objects when grabbed with the controllers or the interaction with the 2D Interface. When TPG bought the Oculus Quest, I adjusted the gameplay and all the interactions so that the instructor had the choice between the two VR headset (HTC Vive and Oculus Quest). During that same period of time, a second VR project was made and my Project Leader's role gave my colleague and I the opportunity to plan every steps necessary for the development of such a project. The project consisted to create 360 videos readable in VR in the Oculus Quest. At last I was in charge of the lighting for the simulator. All lighting was reworked.

3D Generalist

Mar 2017 - Sep 2019
During that period of time, I assumed many roles specific to the development of a project. I did some 3D models for the Tramway Driving Simulator's project for the Public Transports Geneva (TPG).I animated a lot of 3D models such as the human hand used in the TPGs Driving simulator project or various animals for the 4D VR experience for the Loterie Romande. But my role was also to do the rigging (creating the 3D skeleton) and skinning (linking the skeleton with the 3D model). For all projects I was in charge of the lighting. I was also in charge of the postprocessing effects and lightmapping (texture containing all the information about the angle and intensity of a light, and also the direction of shadows). When I had time, I did help in coding. For instance, I created a scenario for the driving simulator. The instructor could easily modify the behaviour of a car in a crossroad. Finally I participated a lot in optimizing our projects may this be in the visuals or in Unity3D itself.

Civil Service - Resident helper
-
Sep 2012 - Aug 2013
The main part of my work was to speak, play and go out with the residents. Every morning I had to deliver the breakfast to all the inhabitants. Sometimes I had to go out with the residents to their appointments (doctors, dentists and so on).
