I worked primarily as a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist within the business. After three months I was promoted to Manager-In-Charge (“Spa-MC”) on weekends. As Spa-MC, I was the operational manager with ultimate responsibility and sole accountability for staff management and customer satisfaction over the busy weekend period. In addition, I have also been involved in projects and initiatives with the Marketing Department, which ultimately led to my appointment as Spa Social Media Manager. Whilst with the Spa, I have – with the prior support and trust of management – driven a number of personal initiatives where I saw opportunity to value-add, and enhance staff productivity. As an example, one such project was digitalizing the way we collect and store client health information, saving over two hours of extra work per day in general administrative work – but also allowing us to more seamlessly respond to our clients personal health needs and objectives. Towards the end, I was recruited by Marketing to be part of a series of video content pieces for YouTube, to help enhance the Spa’s points of difference from its competitors, and as an additional value-add for our clients. I was also nominated as Personal Trainer of the Year on Fitnessfestivalen.

Core responsibilities center on instructing spin classes, BodyCombat, and CXWORX. I have also been in charge of targeting companies with corporate packages I structure for their employees as a part of the company’s business development efforts – which involves designing bespoke diet and workout regimes. These client building activities also see me make use of my skills as a photographer as well as a graphic designer in pulling together client-facing presentation and promotional material. I have also been invited by a junior hockey team to produce twelve lectures on the subject of sports nutrition for their players. In addition to this, I’ve also completed numerous bootcamp/TRX/boxing-classes over the years and been appointed Group Fitness Instructor of the Year.
