Alderwood Capital is an investor in specialist, single strategy asset management businesses. As a team we have the experience, the patience, the industry knowledge and the sourcing connections to uncover best in breed boutique active managers seeking equity capital. We are a new firm but, as a team, we have been doing this a long time and we believe we have one of the strongest track records in this specialist area of asset management. Our success is based on four unshakable beliefs: - We believe that asset management does not get better when it gets bigger. - We believe that focused specialist boutiques consistently outperform generalists over time. - We believe that firms where management are also owners outperform other firms over time. - We believe that thoughtful, patient asset managers serve their clients and wider stakeholders better than firms fixated on asset raising, diversification, short term returns and hyperactive trading. At Alderwood Capital, I am a Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
