John Bosley

Jon was a consummate professional. As an individual he is a pleasure to work with. I never heard him speak an unkind word and he always had a cheerful disposition and would easily see the humour in any situation however much pressure we were under. I would be happy to work with Jon again and would unreservedly recommend him as an asset to any company. Not enough people like him in this world.

Initially a Project Surveyor at LSC, I swiftly gained confidence of my peers and the board, through demonstrable results, to gain promotion to Senior Quantity Surveyor in 2012, becoming Commercially responsible for projects up to £4.5m in all aspects of the external facade. My input from order receipt, through the design process and build phase helped to settle final accounts swiftly and sensibly. My responsibilities included ensuring compliance with the contract mechanisms, labour and domestic subcontractor comparison and package placement up to £1.5m, regular valuations and pricing and agreeing variations throughout the delivery phase. My role saw me dealing with several JCT variants as well as NEC contracts and included initial contract review to clarify and finalise both scope and terms. Detailed cost reports were prepared monthly and areas requiring improvement were identified and managed to the best commercial conclusion. Reporting direct to the board I was responsible for up-to 5 projects at any one time and worked closely with all members of the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure a commercially beneficial project outcome for the business.
