As an ambassador of Teach First I continue to work in schools in challenging contexts and/or circumstances. Typically in urban contexts around Manchester. I also work with the University of Manchester to provide teaching experience days and in school tutoring for Teach First trainee teachers, this is part of a drive to allow participants to be 'School Ready' by the time they stand in front of their own class for the first time.In addition to this I frequently speak at Teach First events and spread the word about the good work Teach First and its participants are doing all over the country. During my two years on the Teach First Leadership Development programme I have been working in a challenging school in the outskirts of Manchester. Since my completion of the programme I have worked with Teach First North West to provide in school training and support for new participants to help them develop as classroom practitioners in the early stages of their training, this has allowed them to become more productive when entering their own classrooms for the first time.

During my time at RHF I was responsible for other staff and the day to day running of seasonal events such as the summer maize maze and the Easter eggstravaganza. I often lead the children’s parties at the farm, one of the main sources of income, this entailed organising, entertaining and looking after up to 30 children. In this role I learnt a great deal about customer service and staff management.
